Waze, a Google-owned app, gains a new feature that alerts users to dangerous roads based on traffic data. According to a report from The Verge, users can find red-colored high-risk roads on the map with the latest beta version of Waze, though the case may differ if users frequently travel from a specific road.

Meanwhile, the American technology behemoth intends to roll out a new feature that will protect users from malicious and suspicious HTTP downloads. When a user visits any HTTP website, Google Chrome classifies it as 'not secure' in the address bar of an Android smartphone.

According to 9to5Google, Google is planning to implement a security feature that will eventually block any insecure downloads that users may wish to access via HTTP websites. It is worth noting that, in recent years, the American browser has attempted to make Chrome a more secure platform by encouraging users to use only HTTPS websites.

In addition, Google Chrome by default prevents secure websites from using insecure web forms. It was recently discovered that the technology behemoth added a new toggle feature under Settings to 'Always use secure connections'. Once enabled, the browser will attempt to upgrade to the HTTPS version of websites if a user navigates to the insecure version by accident. Furthermore, if there is no secure version, the browser will display an on-screen warning and ask the user whether they want to continue or not.
